Bilingualism

Well...Bilingualism. I think that it's a very interesting topic to talk about, I mean, being able to talk or communicate ideas in more than one language fluently is something very special and it's something that not many people can do. I'm not sure if we can talk about "Bilingualism" when a person just tries to speak in another language. For me it's more than that, eg: I don't consider myself a bilingual person (Although I have knowledge of English and Japanese languages), A bilingual person for me is someone who knows two languages perfectly or at least with a 95% accuracy.

Bilingualism also it's a very useful tool today. You can have a lot of oportunities around the world if you dominate two or more languages, I mean, it's something extremely useful at work, or you can meet people of a lot of places if you want, you can use this skill just for communication or with your hobbies. I'd like that all people around the world could be bilingual or multilingual. That would be definetely amazing!.

  1. I totally agree with you, there are many people who think that their are bilingual only because they know a lot of a language, but I think that being bilingual is more than that, you should manage at least a 95% of that language.
On the other side, you mentioned that bilingualism is very useful, and that's totally true! because you have curriculum benefits, communication advantages, employment advantages and lot of different things.

I think that you cover the subject from the most important viewpoints.
